Mode Of Action:- 

These mycoparasites can live up to 21 dayson mildew free host plant surfaces, attacking powdery mildew structures as soonas they appear. Ampelomyces quisqualis is a mycoparasite of powdery mildews.

BioAmrut AMP is a Bio-fungicide based on the selectivestrains of Ampelomyces quisqualis is an anamorphic fungus that is a hyperparasiteof powdery mildews. Ampelomyces quisqualis is an anamorphic fungus that is ahyperparasite of powdery mildews. This parasitism reduces growth and mayeventually kill the mildew. Infection is favoured by humid conditions andtemperatures in the range 20 to 30 C (68 to 86 F) and may occur within 24hours. Hyphae, conidiophores and immature cleistothecia can all be infected,the mycoparasite entering through the cell walls, and the previouslytransparent tissues turning milky-white. The infection spreads through themildew colony for seven to ten days, after which time pyenidia begin to form.Their through the m formation is complete in tweto four days, when infectedcells die, swelling considerably and turning brownish. Raindrops cause therelease of conidia from the mature pycnidia which can cause secondaryinfections. There may be several generations of the mycoparasite during thegrowing season. However, acceptable disease control has been achieved invarious greenhouse and field grown crops. It is usually necessary to repeat theapplications, and high humidity and raindrops assist in spreading themycoparasite to new mildew colonies.
